History

2016: New Managing Director

In April Stefan Meixner takes over the office management in Kundl. Since 1997 he has been working as an engineer for the Pörner Group and is thus considered an "old hand". During this time he has specialized in the design and validation/qualification of pharmaceutical plants. In his function as conductor and leader of the band in Stans 70 musicians follow his beat – whereas there are in Summer 17 at Pörner Kundl with more to expect.

 

2012: 20 Years Pörner Kundl

On the occasion of 20 years existence of the Tyrolean Pörner office managing director Martin Embacher invited to a party in Kundl in July 2012. Several clients from the pharmaceutical industry as well as Pörner Group shareholder Andreas Pörner and EDL managing director Roland Ludwig attended the jubilee celebration.

Andreas Pörner congratulated the Pörnerians in Kundl to their efficiency and told some funny anecdotes from 40 years Pörner Group and Pörner Kundl. Martin Embacher thanked all clients and employees for their commitment an invited after his speech to a dart tournament that guaranteed variety and amusement for an exceptionally pleasant evening.

 

2007: The success story continues - 15 years of Pörner Kundl

The company celebrates its 15th anniversary. Proudly we are looking at showcase projects such as the clean room engineering for Sandoz GmbH. For the largest project in the Pörner history - the general planning of the bioethanol plant at Pischelsdorf - Pörner Kundl made the engineering design for the building services, and it became truly "princely" when the contract for construction supervision of the Esterhazy Vineyard at Traunsdorf was awarded.

2005: Active in Germany and Austria. Office extended by 80m2

The contract for a new pilot plant for polymer fibre production awarded by the renowned Fraunhofer-ISC R&D institute is the stepping stone for Pörner Kundl to break new ground and go abroad. Pörner Kundl extends it field of activity by the planning and design of municipal building services, and with the detail engineering for the first Austrian mushroom production plant Pörner Kundl gives proof of its expertise in HVAC.

 

2002: 10 years of Pörner-Kundl, extension of the customer base in Tyrol

After 10 years the number of staff at Kundl has risen from five to 17. Drawing on its expertise Pörner Kundl is able to extend its customer base by Swarovski Optik, Swarovski Kristall and Tyrolit.
 

2000: New office building providing a space of 200 m2 and formation of the electrical/I&C group

For the planning and construction of pharmaceutical process plants Pörner has now the capabilities to cover the areas of qualification and validation according to the FDA standard. The formation of the electrical/I&C group enables Pörner to handle projects with all disciplines from a single source.
 

Projects of Biochemie in the area of power supply, such as the extension of the factory´s nitrogen, cooling and steam supply networks, production and provision of process cold and compressed air and central station for solvent incineration were the basis for the independent branch of Kundl.

1992: How it all began

The very first assignment in the industrial centre of Tyrol was initiated by the Pörner office Linz. The contract for Biochemie GmbH (today: Sandoz GmbH) based in Kundl included the replacement of the forced-air system of a production site by a sound-proof natural ventilation system with an air capacity of 150,000m3.
