What was once Gazintek, is now Pörner Kyiv

From Gazintek to Pörner Kyiv

New Safe Confinement, Csernobyl - a project of the Detail Engineering experts in Kiev

In the course of rebranding, which brings the Ukrainian Pörner location closer to the Group, Gazintek was renamed Pörner Kyiv. Since September 2021, the former “JSC Gazintek” officially operates under the name “Poerner Kyiv LLC”. According to European law, an LLC (Limited Liability Company) is the equivalent of the German GmbH. This simplifies the legal and administrative handling within the company group.

Apart from company name and email address, the only noticeable change for the approximately 30 Ukrainian employees as well as clients and partners, is the company logo. The old Gazintek logo was replaced by the general Pörner Group logo.

The current contact details are:

30 years of experience, 16 years part of Pörner Group

30 years ago, Gazintek was founded as a joint venture of three engineering companies. 16 years ago, Pörner acquired 70% of the shares. Just one year later, Pörner became sole owner and thus further strengthened its position in Central Eastern Europe. Three decades of engineering experience in the oil and gas sector distinguish the Ukrainian employees. They have always handled international projects, are proficient in Western, Ukrainian and Russian (GOST) standards and are always up-to-date in terms of software tools.

A recent major project, where the colleagues in Kiev were proud to be involved was the construction of the New Safe Confinement (NSC) – the new safety arch over parts of the damaged nuclear power plant in Chernobyl. For this project, which is “unique in the history of engineering”, they took on the detail engineering for support systems of ventilation ducts, cable trays, lifting systems and platforms.

Oleksandr Baranchuk, employee at the location for 20 years, has been in charge of the company since May 2020. He faces the future with confidence thanks to full order books. Among other projects, the team currently works on two new air separation plants in Japan and Ukraine, which are scheduled for commissioning this year.
