The Leipzig-based engineering firm, EDL Anlagenbau Gesellschaft, a member of the Vienna Pörner Group continues its positive development. Some years ago the number of engineering hours was about 110,000 and has almost doubled since then. To cope with this development the company increases own capacities but also uses capacities of other Group members and those of third parties.

Among the relatively new customers of EDL is Paralube based in Elsteraue-Alttroeglitz/Zeitz (Saxony-Anhalt). It began with the basic engineering in 2006 and a few weeks ago the company was entrusted with the detail engineering for a new used oil re-refining plant with a capacity of about 75,000 mt/y used oil.

This job currently ranks among the most important for EDL since it is the first time of getting involved in such a process plant project. Sticking out from the package of   current projects is that for the detail engineering for a synthetic fuel (sun diesel) production plant from renewable resources for Choren at Freiberg.
