The future of CO2-neutral flying - Pörner provides technical input

An article in the Salzburger Nachrichten published today (November 15, 2021) was about more sustainability in flying. Pörner’s managing partner Peter Schlossnikel was also interviewed on this subject.

The EU package of measures "Fit for 55" provides for a structured schedule according to which more and more fuel from renewable sources is added to the original kerosene in stages. Austria is to become a strong production location for alternative fuels and this requires the cooperation of suitable companies. This also includes the Pörner Group with its 5 decades of experience in industrial plant construction and implementation of both its own and third-party technologies. The first important step has been taken with the EDL project to set up a demonstration plant for the production of renewable aviation fuel from CO2 and air using renewable energy.

The concept and the interest of the customers are in place, now the only thing missing is investors. The climate will thank us!
